On April 25, 2025, MACS was represented at the Water Resources and Environmental Management (WATENV) Alumni and Career Reintegration Conference, held at Leibniz University Hannover. Our Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure service area, Lina Saenz, participated in this exciting event, organized by her former Master’s program.
The conference brought together alumni and current students to exchange insights, share experiences, and explore career development opportunities, particularly in the work reintegration in Germany. Through open discussions and networking sessions, the event offered students valuable perspectives on life after graduation.
As part of a poster presentation round, Lina shared her personal journey as a WATENV alumna, discussing both the challenges and rewards of building a career in Germany. She highlighted how working at MACS, within a dynamic, diverse and international team, has offered her enriching professional experiences and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in different parts of the world.
The students showed great interest in Lina’s story and in learning more about MACS. Many expressed motivation to pursue similar professional paths and to become involved in projects that make a global impact.
One of the main conclusions of the event was that networking is key to finding better opportunities and synergies, improving our way of working and making professional life more fulfilling and enjoyable.
