Sweco GmbH as Lead together with Setec Engineering and MACS Energy & Water hane been contracted to function as Institutional Consultants for the Water Sector Performance and Investment Programme (WPIP) Municipal Infrastructure Programme V (MIP V) to support the National Agency for Water Supply nd Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure (AKUM) to provide technical Assistance for 7 of the biggest Municipalities in Albania.
The Goal is to improve the sustainability of involved utilities with improved planning, operation and intengrity management and climate resilience and the quality and affordability of drinking water supply, sewer services and increased centralized treatment of collected wastewater and ultimately to contribute to economic, social, environmental and territorial development in Albania.
The Project will be implemented during the next five years and include investments in Elbasan, Fier, Kamza, Lezha, Shkroda and Vlora.
