New financial institutions joinging the Private FInance for Energy Efficiency (PF4EE) initiative

The financial institutions Solas Capital and Avant Money have recently joined the Private Finance for Energy Efficiency (PF4EE) initiative by the EIB funded by the Programme for the Environment and Climate Action (LIFE programme). MACS Energy & Water, who is part of the Expert Support Facility of PF4EE is supporting the newly joined as well as the existing financial institutions in implementing energy efficiency measures across the European Union.

With support from MACS, Solas Capital will use the PF4EE credit line to provide debt financing to energy service companies (ESCOs) to carry out energy efficiency and small renewable energy projects in the EU. Avant Money will use the instrument to provide green financing to Irish homeowners.

MACS is part of the Expert Support Facility of PF4EE since 2015 and has since then provided support to 13 financial institutions in Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Latvia, Ireland, Greece, France, Hungary and Switzerland.
