Georgia: Improving Rural Water and Sanitation in Ajara

MACS as the leader of a consortium consisting of GITEC-IGIP, IRC and Black Sea Eco-Academy has signed the consulting contract to assist the Ajara Water Alliance, the government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and the 5 municipalities of rural Ajara: Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi and Khulo.

Over the next five years, the team of experts will plan and implement infrastructure investments for reliable water and wastewater solutions and establish a user-based integrated water and sanitation organization, ensuring sustainable and cost-covering operation and maintenance of the new systems.
