The MACS Roundtable on "Climatechange and the Financial Sector beyond Regulations" was implemented successfully on Friday, June 19th in Frankfurt. Several participants from Banks, Building Associations and Insurances participated very actively. The presenters from Institutions like Deutsche Bundesbank, Academia, MACS and others were received with great interest.
It can be concluded that while climate change is a concrete reality, the business model of banks and all companies of the real estate economy must consider climate change to stay sustainable. The roundtable was received as a proper platform for discussion and knowledge exchange.
