Serbia: Support to Raiffeisen Bank A.D. Serbia in the Introduction of an RE/EE Loan Product

KfW has set up an Energy Efficiency Program for financial institutions in the Western Balkan countries in the framework of the German government’s “International Climate Protection Initiative” (ICPI) under the auspices of the German Ministry of Environment.

The Program’s objective was to contribute to the increased implementation of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy technologies by SMEs and households, and thus to a reduction in energy consumption by at least 20% as well as a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. MACS supported Raiffeisen Bank Serbia by successfully introducing a new loan product design to enable clients to finance EE equipment and RE technologies and also provided targeted trainings to the Bank’s staff.
