In phase I of the desk study, relevant technologies in selected sectors and sub-sectors in the GGF target regions are identified and analysed and opportunities for the improvement of their water / waste / resource efficiency are described.

The aim of phase II of the project was to identify technologies for sectors with significant impact as well as realistic potential for upgrades in selected countries: Turkey, Serbia, Georgia, Tunisia and Egypt. Based on the catalogue of Nexus technologies elaborated in Phase I, Phase II focuses on the relevance of certain nexus technologies and the estimation of their saving potential. The subsequent phase III defines the conceptual proposal for eligibility for the GGF.
