The “Private Finance for Energy Efficiency” (PF4EE) instrument by EIB aims to stimulate EE lending and provide availability of debt financing to EE investments through lower pricing, longer maturities and lighter security requirements. PF4EE origin from the DEEP Green Initiative (Debt for Energy Efficiency Projects Green), an EIB initiative that aims at developing a suite of new financial products for four key groups of players in the EE market; Banks, public sector, ESCOs and utilities.

MACS and Consortium Lead Adelphi support the PF4EE instrument through the Expert Support Facility. MACS main focus is on providing technical assistance to the participating FIs; technical capacity assessment, technical capacity development training of staff and management, reporting and monitoring of benefitted projects, and FI process enhancement. MACS also provide Technical Backstopping and start-up Advisory services to the PF4EE Expert Support Facility.
