On October 24th, 2022, the team of MACS Energy & Water Experts was present in the local water company (PDAM) Sleman, in the province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. As a part of the "Indonesian Urban Water Utility Climate Assessment" project, funded by Water.org Indonesia, the team of experts gave a workshop of the Climate Assessment of the PDAM Sleman.
The presentation was conducted starting with the importance of climate change assessment to adapt and mitigate further effects. Then, a brainstorming session was conduced with the PDAM Sleman team to address the most important risks and how to mitigate them. Finally, the methodology and preliminary results of the Climate Assessment developed by MACS were presented.
The event was a success, with many interest point taken from PDAM Sleman to add up the assessment developed by MACS with local contributions. During the following days, MACS team worked together with the PDAM Sleman team to proceed with the technical visit for the Climate Assessment in the facilities of the water company.
