As part of MACS’ activities within the Non-Revenue Water Program II at the water utility SEDA Huánuco, the social team is implementing awareness-raising campaigns among residents of the Amarilis District in Huánuco, Peru.
In August 2026, the team launched its first awareness campaign, “Water That You Know, Water That You Care About,” which aims to raise awareness about the protection of water sources, the water purification process, and the importance of valuing and using water resources responsibly.
To reach different groups within the community, the social team has been working closely with mothers’ clubs, established EcoClubs at three schools in the district, conducted door-to-door visits, and engaged directly with residents at local markets. Through these activities, the team is helping to bring the message of water conservation and responsible water use to as many people as possible.
