The implementation support for the Low Carbon Energy Facility at UniCredit Bank Mostar was officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting in the capital Sarajevo. The facility, supported by KfW, targets energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RE) investments for MSMEs and municipalities.
The consulting team of MACS, supported by the local partner ENOVA, will assist the bank in:
- Aligning internal processes and procedures,
- Assessing project eligibility,
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and social (E&S) standards,
- Integrating gender aspects into credit line operations,
- Facilitating cooperation of the Bank with the KfW-initiated Regional Challenge Fund.
The meeting marked a strong start to a joint effort toward expanding green finance and promoting inclusive and sustainable development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
